Hollyoaks has killed off Eva Falco in a shocking storyline twist.

Kerry Bennett's dramatic final scenes in the role of Eva aired in Monday night's E4 first look episode, which saw Grace Black finally exact her revenge for Esther Bloom's shooting.

Grace (Tamara Wall) has been on the warpath ever since Eva accidentally shot Esther in Hollyoaks' hour-long New Year special. Although Esther survived the incident, Grace was determined that it couldn't go unpunished.

Eva has been on the run with Grace's brother Liam Donovan (Maxim Baldry) ever since, but their luck ran out as they headed off on a train tonight - keen to make their escape and never come back.

When they started their journey, the troublesome couple assumed they were safe and could finally breathe a sigh of relief. But when did Hollyoaks and trains ever mix well?

After heading off to speak to the guard, Liam returned to his seat and was left devastated to find that Eva was dead.

Although Liam was baffled by the tragedy, the cunning culprit was then revealed to viewers as a very smug Grace got off the train - fittingly disguised all in black.

Reacting to Eva's deadly exit, Kerry commented: "I've had such an amazing time and felt so welcomed and supported from the start.

"I'm sad to be leaving - six months has flown by way too fast - but it feels awesome to have been involved in such a great storyline on such a fabulous production."

Hollyoaks have been teasing Eva's exit on their various social media platforms all day today, providing clues to help fans figure out who would be leaving the show.

With the mystery now solved, the big question is whether Grace will face the consequences of returning to her murderous ways - and how Liam will react if he ever finds out that his sinister sister was responsible.
