Blackburn dog attack: Italian mastiffs and terrier cross bite man

A man is in hospital after being attacked by four dogs in a park.

He was injured by three Italian mastiffs and a terrier cross just before 13:00 GMT at Witton Park in Blackburn, Lancashire.

The man, 44, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with puncture wounds to his arms and legs.

His injuries are not thought to be serious. The animals have been seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act by police while an investigation takes place.

The owners of the dogs are co-operating with the investigation.
