BJP Punjab unit president Vijay Sampla offers to resign citing lack of transparency in ticket allotment
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Monday's list named six candidates from Amritsar North, Phagwara, Jalandhar West, Jalandhar Central, Ananpur Sahib and Fazilka Constituent Assemblies.
Chandigarh, Jan 16: Citing the lack of transparency in the selection of candidates and providing tickets to them, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab unit president Vijay Sampla has offered his resignation from the post. He also filed his resignation from current Akali-BJP government, where he is serving as the cabinet minister. The decision made by the Party president of the Punjab unit follows after the BJP released its second list of candidatures from Punjab. However, his resignation from both the role as party president and cabinet minister has not yet been accepted.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Monday’s list named six candidates from Amritsar North, Phagwara, Jalandhar West, Jalandhar Central, Ananpur Sahib and Fazilka Constituent Assemblies. But soon after this release, the BJP Punjab unit President and cabinet minister Vijay Sampla gave his resignation. As per a report by ABP, his resignation from the posts have not yet been accepted.
