Great Britain have been handed a tricky draw for February’s Fed Cup matches in Estonia.

Monday's Europe/Africa Group I draw has placed GB in Pool C, alongside Turkey, Latvia and Portugal.

Anne Keothavong's side must top the pool, played from February 8-10, in order to reach a promotion play-off the following day.

However, Latvia, who have world No 38 Julia Ostapenko in their line-up, represent a danger, while Turkey upset the Brits in the competition two years ago.

Should they finish top, Britain will meet Croatia, Hungary or Bosnia in the play-off match. Both Croatia and Hungary - in Ana Konjuh and Timea Babos respectively - also boast a top-50 player in their line-up.

GB will be confident of progressing if their top-ranked player Johanna Konta is available. She has been named in a team of four by Keothavong, who has recently taken over the captaincy from Judy Murray. Konta did, however, withdraw last season after her run to the Australian Open semi-finals.
