It's one of the most versatile actors' birthday today. He's one of those few who is always up for experimenting and it has paid off and how! We are talking about the talented Tamil actor - Vijay Sethupathi. Last year, he had six releases, and believe it or not, each of them received positive reviews for his varied performances. He was specially praised for his role in Dharma Dhurai, he went on to win the Best Actor at the AirAisa Awards 2016, his co-star Tamannaah Bhatia won for the same movie. The other movies included Aandavan Kattali ( Comedy) Rekka (a hardcore actioner), Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum ( a remake of a Korean film), Sethupathi ( a massy actioner) and Iraivi (a dark drama). Each of them received positive reviews. No wonder, he's one of the most sought after actors today. And now as of 2017, he has signed on 8 releases. He's only surging ahead and we are excited. Puriyaadha Pudhir - The movie was to release this Pongal but due to unavoidable circumstances, the film has been pushed to March. This psychological thriller is reportedly a remake of Kannada film. It's loosely based on Agatha Christie's play - An unexpected Guest. One look at the trailer, and you will want this movie to release sooner. Never before has Vijay Sethupathi played a character like this one. His mannerisms, body language and his intense stare will creep you out big time. We can't wait for the movie now. Vikram-Veda - This film is a modern take on the mythological tale of Vikram Aditya. The film also stars Madhavan. The killer combo of both these actors has got fans super excited! Vijay will take on the role of a gangster. It's for this role, Vijay has bulked up and gone in for a Salt n Pepper look. Karuppan - Vijay Sethupathi has just begun shooting for Karuppan. The film will be directed by R. Panneerselvam. It also stars Lakshmi Menon in one of the lead roles.

Aneethi Kathaigal - He's pairing up with Samantha Ruth Prabhu for the first time for this Thiagarajan Kumararaja project. The film will also Malayalam actor Fahad Fassil.

96 - Directed by Prem Kumar, Vijay will pair up with Tamil actress Trisha for this film.

Idam Porul Yaeval - This is yet another project Vijay Sethupathi has signed on. Directed by Seenu Ramaswamy, the film will also star Vishnu and Nandita Swetha.

Vada Chennai - Vijay Sethupathi will soon be seen in an extended cameo in Vetrimaaran's trilogy Vada Chennai. but recent updates state, that the actor has walked out of the project, as the director reportedly kept postponing the shoot schedule and Vijay only had those specific slots available.
