The grand Arabian Sea will be the stunning backdrop for the designer’s opening show at LFW. For the first time ever a veteran designer will be showcasing her collection aboard the Costa neo Classica- a cruise ship docked at a pier by the Arabian Sea. Monisha Jaising’s upcoming collection brings in a dreamy elegance to one’s spring summer style with billowing silhouettes, glorious array of patterns, fully embellished party dresses and cocktail sarees. The creations are executed in black, gold, grey, white, rose pink, rose tan and occasionally injected with a pop of red, orange, fuchsia – underscoring the ultra-glam attitude infusing the collection. The collection is infused with opulent fabrics – heavy bonded satin, wool crepe, Italian organza, chikankari, metal encrusted chain mail and much more.
The collection unashamedly veers towards extravagant evening wear, contemporary and stately silhouettes, an effortless approach of “cocktail sarees” & billowing skirts with tight bodices’.
