BENGALURU: It is raining job offers at colleges offering technical courses in city.  While minimum salary offered was D3 lakh, some companies offered annual salaries as high as D28 lakh per annum to the students.
Archith Bhatnagar of Computer Science Branch at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology has got a job offer of D28 lakh per annum from an international firm.

“Students were apprehensive about placements post demonetisation but the note ban did not have any impact. In comparison to previous year, more companies visited our campus this year,” said Dr Savitha Konna, placement officer of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.

“Placements for 2016-17 are still on and 120 companies have already offered 1,233 jobs,” said Savitha.
Mushtaque Ahmed of PES University has received an offer of D24 lakh per annum. Two other students received D22 lakh salary offer from another start-up called Helpchat(Play Smart). Prof  KS Sridhar, principal and placements officer of the university said, “We have received an overwhelming response from companies this year. During 2016-17, over 146 companies visited our campus and 1,293 offers were made.”

At RV College of Engineering, over four students received D22 lakh per annum salary package from Helpchat. “So far 868 plus offers have been made by 112 companies and the process will continue till May 2017. An offer of D35 lakh salary for two students is yet to be confirmed. 46 more companies are likely to visit campus,” said Prof Ranganath, placement officer of RVCE.
At BMS College of Engineering, over six students received D22 lakh per annum salary offer.
“Around 100 companies visited our campus this year,” said Dr Ravishankar, placement officer.
