SABARIMALA: Padi pooja, a special ritual for blessings of the Hill Gods of Lord Ayyappa, will be performed for the first time during the ongoing pilgrimage season at the hill shrine for three days from Monday. The ritual will be held under the leadership of Thantri Rajeevaru in the presence of Melsanthi Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri after deeparadhana 7 pm. The ritual will begin with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the thantri.

Neyyabhishekam: The pilgrims will get an opportunity to offer neyyabhishekam to Lord Ayyappa till 10.30 am on January 18.Kalabhabhishekam: The customary Kalabhabhishekam at the idol of Lord Ayyappa will be conducted during the Uchcha pooja on January 18.

Darsan of Lord Ayyappa: The facility for darsan of Lord Ayyappa during the ongoing pilgrimage season days will be available till 10 pm January 19. Guruthi ritual: The annnual customary guruthi ritual, the offerings in the name of ‘bhoothagangal’ of Lord Ayyappa will be conducted at Malikappuram at 11 pm.The hill shrine will be closed at 7 am on January  20.

The Thiruvabharanam procession to Pandalam Valiyakoickal Sree Dharma Sastha temple from Sabarimala temple will leave at 7.30 am on January 20.
