Gokce is the owner of a well-known restaurant chain from Turkey, called Nusr-Et Steak House, with an outlet in Dubai's Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach.
A photograph of him sprinkling salt on a piece of meat has even been tweeted by American singer Bruno Mars earning him the nickname 'Salt Bae'. The image posted on January 9, got re-tweeted more than 32,000 times and was liked by more than 72,000 people in just five days.
He is no less popular on Instagram -- 1.5 million followers is no joke! His latest video of him stripping a steak has been watched more than 4 million times in a week. "That's how I'm going to season my omelette from now on," wrote a stunned Instagram user.
After having achieved worldwide fame online, his hilarious memes are making rounds on the internet trending with a viral hashtag 'saltbae'. One popular tweet even shows him as a street art.
