Woodstock police have charged a 32-year-old man after a suspect was arrested in relation to several break-ins in the city.

Police say they were called by an alert citizen Friday afternoon about supsicious activity on Oxford Street.

Officers and a K-9 unit resonded after the suspect fled through backyards.

Police were able to make an arrest and say they have linked the man to several break and enters in the area of Oxford Street, Drew Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

A Woodstock resident is facing charges of break and enter, attempt break and enter, possession of stolen property, mischief, and breach of probation.

The man is being held pending a bail hearing.
