Bangladesh officials in Alwar for inmates

The foreign prisoners at Alwar’s Central Jail have finally seen a ray of hope. The officials of Bangladesh High Commission arrived here on Friday to expedite the process of the release of three Bangladeshi inmates.

ALWAR: The foreign prisoners at Alwar’s Central Jail have finally seen a ray of hope. The officials of Bangladesh High Commission arrived here on Friday to expedite the process of the release of three Bangladeshi inmates.
These prisoners have already completed their term and are waiting for their release. The officials of Bangladesh High Commission came to verify the documents of the inmates and promised them of legal aid.
The officials also promised to provide them help in order to trace their family members back home.
“We have started the process of sending inmates to their homes. We are verifying their documents after which we are hopeful of reuniting them with their family members,” a senior official of the delegation told TOI. There are 17 prisoners of six nationalities, who have completed their term and yet remain lodged at the Alwar Central Jail. The prisoners, who are from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Iran and Myanmar, have approached their respective embassies.
