Raees song Udi Udi Jaaye: Himesh Reshammiya wishes all a happy Makar Sankranti with the Shah Rukh Khan song (watch video)

Himesh Reshammiya is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan - Mahira Khan's latest song from Raees

Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer Raees is once again making some noise. This time, with the release of the new song Udi Udi Jaaye. After flooring us all with their scintillating chemistry in Zaalima last week, the two romance each other once again in this number. Shot in the background of the popular kite festival, Makar Sankranti, the song is fun, colourful and is set to the tune of folk music that will instantly remind you of garba nights.

The song has received great reviews since its release yesterday. And it has got a new fan in singer, music composer, actor Himesh Reshammiya. The singer took to twitter to post a video where he is seen singing the song Udi Udi Jaaye from Raees. The singer also said that he is in love with this new song and sang a few lines before ending it with a sweet message wishing all a very Happy Makar Sankranti. Shah Rukh Khan was quick to reply to Himesh and thanked him for this sweet gesture.

Shah Rukh Khan’s film Raees will release on January 25, 2017. In the film, he plays a gangster Raees Aslam based out of Gujarat, India. No wonder then, the film would have been incomplete without a garba number and a few kite flying scenes. It can be recalled that Salman Khan – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which also showed a Gujarati family, had a song based on the festival of kites, Makar Sankranti. The song Kaipochee was a fun number and brought alive the beautiful festival on the big screen. While that wasn’t a romantic number, the one from Raees has been given a romantic tone! And we can’t complain since it gives you all the feels! After Zaalima, we wanted to see more of SRK and Mahira on the screen and the song Udi Udi Jaaye has just put to rest all the speculations about the lead pair’s screen time together!
