Brie Larson hasn't washed her hair since the Golden Globes

Updated

According to Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson, there really is no shame if your hair is 90 percent dry shampoo by Friday. On Sunday, Larson downright wowed on the Golden Globes red carpet, sporting the shiniest, bounciest old Hollywood-inspired blonde waves we've seen in a long time. And like a true beauty hero, Larson has apparently been squeezing every last glamorous drop out of her red carpet blowout.

On Wednesday (a full three days after she debuted the enviably sleek and touchable 'do) Larson took to Instagram to share a hair care confession we can all relate to. "I smile because I haven't washed my hair since the @goldenglobes and I'm feeling pretty confident I can stretch this look a few more days," she said in her post along with the hashtag #dirtyhairdontcare. Judging by how good those waves still look, we applaud Brie Larson and might even try the challenge ourselves.

That's not to say you should keep the #dirtyhair routine going too long. In the land of blowouts, dry shampoo is as essential as a solid heat protectant—a must for getting the most out of your style and the key to Larson's still flawless waves. But washing your hair regularly is, you know, hygienic and helps keep your scalp as healthy as you keep the rest of your skin. As good as it feels to extend your blowout to brag-worthy lengths, it also feels great to indulge in a good suds to freshen up your style.
