Health awareness camp at JIPMER shines spotlight on drug addiction

The ongoing health awareness series hosted by JIPMER focused on the various risk factors that lead to drug addiction among youth, the major signs and symptoms and medical complications of drug abuse and an overview of the treatments available.

The 37th interactive session focusing on “Drug Addiction” was attended by over 200 persons including students from various colleges.

The panellists were Balaji Bharadwaj, assistant professor, department of psychiatry, S. Karthick , senior resident, department of psychiatry, V. Chitraleka, social service officer, medico social services wing and Greeshma, psychiatric social worker, department of psychiatry.
