THE gender issue is up again but it is different this time. In the past, the concern was over male domination. Now, however, it is about the female group outnumbering men.
The earlier concern was about the gender imbalance in the work place. It was a global concern. Most professions then were dominated by men. Their female counterpart was visibly absent in many key professions such as doctors, engineers and the like.
