Deputy Commissioner (DC) Prabhjot Singh has suspended a patwari for dereliction of duty on the basis of a report by the Barara tehsildar.

Mukesh Kumar of Subhri village had filed a mutation-related complaint at the CM Window against the patwari. To dispose of the complaint, patwari Sant Ram, during his tenure in Subhri, had given duplicate copies of two mutation, but these were not entered in the government record.

The DC had directed the Barara tehsildar to conduct an inquiry. During inspection, the tehsildar found that mutation 1348 was not in the record book and mutation 1362 was in some other person’s name. In his report, the tehsildar recommended departmental action against the patwari.
