Andhra Pradesh: CPI seeks facts on note ban

K. Ramakrishna criticised CM and asked for details on the measures implemented to prevent corruption in the state.

Vijayawada: CPI state secretary K. Ramakrishna criticised the state government not providing facts on the circumstances prevailing in the state post demonetisation and publicising that all is set even though the agriculture sector is in crisis. While addressing a press conference on Tuesday here at Dasari Bhavan, he criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and asked for details on the measures implemented to prevent corruption in the state. He alleged that the Janmabhoomi programme have become TD programmes and it is humiliating asking for votes in this programme.

He questioned on why the Union and the state governments are not responding even though Union minister for home affairs Rajnath Singh is saying that the income and employment opportunites will be reduced in medium and large scale industries in the manufacturing sector as they are already witnessing about 35 per cent downfall in employment and income generation.

He also criticised that it’s the TD government which will distribute Rs 2,000 per vote in the future elections. In this regard, he demanded to promise that they won’t distribute note for vote in 2019 elections and contest boldly in the elections. He also criticized that though calling the state as Swarnandhra when comapred to 2014 and 2015, the farmers’ suicides had increased to 44.9 per cent and it’s 916 farmers who are exclusively the dependants on agriculture who had committed suicide in one year span.
