US students on 3-day visit to women’s varsity in Sonepat

Under a three-day student exchange programme, an 18-member delegation of the Saint Catherine University of United States of America reached BPS Women University at Khanpur Kalan in the district late on Monday evening. The delegates, led by Prof Lori Anderson and Prof Lori Abina, began the first day of the programme with yoga exercises. They visited the herbal park developed on the university premises by Ayurvedic Medical College staff. College doctors explained to the visiting students the different methods of treatment under the Ayurvedic system of medicines.

The visitors had an interaction with Vice-Chancellor Asha Kadiyan. They also visited the university’s adopted village Kasandi and interacted with the women residents to get acquainted with customs and cultural activities of the rural society. The VC briefed them about the skill-development activities being undertaken by the university for the village women. — OC
