RTC driver bags national award for safe driving

G. Dastagiri, an APSRTC driver working in the Proddatur depot of Kadapa district, received a national-level award from Union Minister for Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Tuesday at a function held as part of the 28th National Safety Week.

He is among the three drivers selected from across India for safe driving practices. The award includes Rs. 25000 cash prize, a memento and a letter of appreciation.

Kadapa Regional Manager T. Chengal Reddy and his team of officials appreciated the award-winning driver who has an accident-free record in his 35 years of service.
