The Romanian manufacturer of plastic products Teraplast decided to expand its operations to Serbia as part of its plans for increasing the export, and it is planning to invest RON 72 million (EUR 15.9 million) in 2017.

As the company announced at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the decision of the board of directors of Teraplast is to found a limited-liability business entity in Serbia with a capital of EUR 10,000.

The investment plan of Teraplast will be put before the company’s shareholders in early February, says the separate announcement made at the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Teraplast announced in October 2016 that it expected a growth of non-consolidated net profit of 12% to RON 39.6 million (EUR 11.1 million), as well as a growth of turnover of 3% to RON 405.5 million.

The Teraplast Group is controlled by the Romanian businessman Dorel Goia, who owns 46.7% of the group, whereas the rest is owned by the investors.

Terplast’s shares have been listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 2008.
