Aurangabad candidates shine in CAT

Vaibhav Makhija who has scored 98.92 percentile and Kaustubh Ashturkar, who has registered 91.99 percentile are amongst city candidates who have excelled in Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016, whose results were out on Monday.

AURANGABAD: Vaibhav Makhija who has scored 98.92 percentile and Kaustubh Ashturkar, who has registered 91.99 percentile are amongst city candidates who have excelled in Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016, whose results were out on Monday.
Vaibhav, who has recently passed out from Government College of Engineering, here in Electrical branch, said he was confident about his success in CAT.
My elder brother Mayur, who is banker and also trains CAT aspirants through his own start-up, guided me in my preparations.
My immediate plans are to prepare for interview and further screening process to secure good B-school, he said.
Vaibhav said he wants to become an entrepreneur after passing out from B-school. I want to become successful employer. The atmosphere in our country has been changing with entrepreneurship getting promoted at government level also. I want to make best use of this conducive atmosphere to prove my mettle, he said.
Sanjay Ashturkar, father of another successful CAT candidate Kaustubh, said his son has already been doing job in Mumbai after completing engineering from Government College of Engineering, here. If my son gets good management institute through further screening, he could leave current job. It all depends upon what allotment he gets, said the happy father.
Around 1.95 lakh candidates across the country, including large number of those from Marathwada, had appeared for the CAT that was conducted across 138 cities India. The score-card and further details can be obtained by the candidates by visiting official website ( iimcat.ac.in), it was said.
