Hitman Higuain lifts Juve

By Agence France-Presse in Milan | China Daily | Updated: 2017-01-10 07:51

Gonzalo Higuain scored on either side of Paulo Dybala's first-half penalty as Juventus moved four points clear of Roma with a comfortable 3-0 win over Bologna in Turin on Sunday.

In its first competitive match since losing the Italian Super Cup to AC Milan in Doha days before Christmas, Juventus was without Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, Dani Alves and Patrice Evra for the visit of Roberto Donadoni's men.

But Bologna's last win over Juve came in February 2011, and its hopes of an upset were hit on seven minutes when playmaker Miralem Pjanic brilliantly found Higuain and the Argentine smashed home a volley past Antonio Mirante.
