The chairman of the National selection committee M.S.K. Prasad on Monday denied the allegation made by Bihar Cricket Association secretary Aditya Verma that the BCCI’s outgoing joint secretary Amitabh Choudhary asked him to call up Mahendra Singh Dhoni and ask him about his future plans.

“The conversation never took place. Mr. Amitabh Choudary did not call me and ask for Dhoni’s future plans. On the fourth day of the semifinal of between Gujarat and Jharkhand at Nagpur, Dhoni, who was with the Jharkhand team as mentor, met me and expressed his wish to step down as skipper of the limited overs and T20 sides.

“I do not know why Aditya Verma is unnecessarily dragging me into the issue,” he complained.
