KASUR: Sarai Mughal police on Sunday arrested a suspect in the murder case of a boy whose body was found on Saturday.

The suspect was accused of killing a college student in the name of honour.

On Saturday, the body of an unidentified boy shot thrice in the head was found in the fields of Jagowala village. Later, the victim was identified as Muhammad Ehsan, a first-year student of Kot Radha Kishan.

The family of the victim alleged that Ehsan had been shot dead by the relatives of a girl whom they claimed he had a relationship with.

Muhammad Shahid, a brother of the victim, told police that Ehsan had been abducted on Saturday and taken to Sarai Mughal where he was shot dead.

Police had registered a case against unidentified suspects and started looking into the matter.

ROBBERY: Unidentified robbers posing as customers deprived a trader of cash worth Rs420,000 at gunpoint in the main bazaar of Kot Radha Kishan, on Sunday.

Two unidentified men entered the shop of Rana Muhammad Afzal and purchased a bag of fertilizer. When Afzal was counting the change to return to the men, they held him at gunpoint and fled with the cash.

RAPE: A man allegedly raped a woman in Sidha Otar village on Sunday. The woman alleged that she was raped when she had gone to the fields. Chunian police registered a rape case and started searching for the culprit.

KIDNAP: B-Division police registered a case against unidentified men for kidnapping a minor from Kot Peeran.

According to complainant Muhammad Asif, unidentified men had kidnapped his five-and-a-half-year-old daughter Ayesha on Saturday. Police registered a case against unidentified suspects and started investigating.
