A gambling den running at Kharod village near Panoli on NH-8, about 7 km from Ankleshwar, was busted by the Bharuch police in co-ordination
SURAT: A gambling den running at Kharod village near Panoli on NH-8, about 7 km from Ankleshwar, was busted by the Bharuch police in co-ordination with Ankleshwar town police and GIDC cops on Friday night. Sources in the police said the raid was carried out on the instructions of Bharuch SP Sandip Singh who had received a tip-off about the den operating on premises of Snehal Gymkhana Pvt Ltd.
Police caught 88 gamblers and Rs 2.44 lakh in notes and Rs 88,000 was seized in coins.
Further, vehicles worth Rs 76 lakh were also seized.
