Princess Charlene and Prince Albert looked proud as punch as they showed off their adorable twins to the world.

Little Princess Gabrielle and Prince Jacques made a rare public appearance during the Monaco Day celebrations as they briefly joined their parents on the palace balcony this afternoon.

The twins were dressed in matching white outfits as one parent carried each of them as they marked the annual festivites, also known as The Sovereign Prince's Day which celebrates the reigning prince.

Charlene, a former Olympic swimmer from South Africa, stunned in a classic black dress and unusual wide brimmed hat with rose detail.

The family used the day to release their annual Christmas card as they cosy up in front of a fire with their little ones.

"All our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a New Year 2016 filled with joy," the note reads.
