Amidst heavy rains the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra of the BJP was accorded a grand welcome in Pathankot.  Whole of Pathankot, Sujanpur and Bhoa turned up for welcoming the Yatra battling the rains and extreme cold. The heavy turnout was a stamp of approval on the developmental works carried out by the Akali-BJP government during the last ten years and the policies of the NDA government at the Centre. In Pathankot the Rath Yatra passed through Nangal Bhor, Talwada Jatta, Model Town, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Peer Baba Chowk, Salaria Chowk, Gadi Ahata Chowk and Shahpur Chowk.  Meanwhile, former state party chief and senior party leader Ashwini Sharma said that only those can form the government whom the public wants. He said, “The Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra is being received with open arms all over the state and it is a clear sign that the coalition government will be formed again.
