After wrapping up Pushkar-Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha, actor Vijay Sethupathi is all set to move on to his next film with director Paneer Selvam of Renigunta fame. This project will be produced by AM Ratnam under his home banner Shri Sai Raam Creations. We had earlier reported that actor Bobby Simhaa has been roped in to play the villain in the film.
The latest update is that the team has chosen an intriguing title for the film. Speaking to DC, Paneer Selvam says, “We have chosen Karuppan as the title for this film and the shooting will commence from January 11. It will be shot in the locales of Madurai and Theni.”
Now, rumours are abuzz that there might be a change in the cast. Earlier, it was reported that Ritika Singh, who was paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi in Aandavan Kattalai, had been roped in. However, sources now say that Ritika might be replaced by Lakshmi Menon, who romanced Sethupathi in Rekka. An official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited.
Karuppan’s technical crew includes cinematographer Ramji, music director D Imman, lyricist Yuga Bharathi, stunt director Rajasekar and editor Antony.
