Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) is set to announce national team coaches during its congress in Bandung, West Java, on Sunday.

Antara reported the PSSI would likely appoint a foreign coach for both of its senior and under-23 teams.

Under new chief Edy Rahmayadi, the association will only name one coach for the aforementioned teams, while the under-19 and under-16 teams will possibly be handled by local coaches.

“We’re working on [to decide the coaches], and, hopefully, we’ll be able to make an announcement during Sunday’s meeting,” said the association’s secretary-general, Ade Wellington, on Friday.

Alfred Riedl and his assistant, Wolfgang Pikal — both Austrians — as well as Robert Rene Alberts of the Netherlands are a few rumored candidates.

The duo of Riedl and Pikal led Indonesia to finish as a runner-up in the recent 2016 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup.

Meanwhile, Alberts managed PSM Makassar, which finished sixth in the recent 2016 Torabika Soccer Championship.
