Billboard Dance named Baauer‘s Aa one of the best dance/electronic albums of 2016, but there was even more to it than we knew.
The Jersey producer’s label LuckyMe just released a track cut from Aa days before it came out, a wonky, bassy tune called “CandyMan” originally written for Fetty Wap to rhyme over. According to LuckyMe’s description on Soundcloud, it was recorded the same day as the pair’s collaboration “Promises,” and a recording is somewhere in their tapes featuring the rapper’s “My Way” vocals.
If you press play and imagine Wap singing on top, it’s pretty boss, but the song is just as strong on its own anyway. Maybe one day you’ll catch Baauer live and hear a perfect mashup.
