MNS to contest all ZP, PS seats in Yavatmal

YAVATMAL: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has resolved to contest all the seats of Yavatmal Zilla Parishad and 16 panchayat samitis in the forthcoming elections, said Anand Embadwar, the party’s state vice-chairman on Tuesday.
“We did not seriously contest the ZP and PS elections. But this time, we have decided to field our candidates in all the seats,” Embadwar said, adding that the party has started collecting application forms from aspirants.
Regarding the appointment of district unit president, Embadwar said it is the prerogative of party chief Raj Thackeray, who will announce the name soon.
When asked if there would be any pre-poll alliance, Embadwar said they have not received any such proposal so far.
