Money planet Venus LOVES its new sign of Pisces. What a great way to start the new trading year.

The money planet makes a bullish move on Tuesday, January 3 to kick off the new year. Venus moves into the sign of Pisces at 2:47 am on the first trading day of January. In Pisces, Venus is treated as the honored guest. Its wish is its command. Perhaps Venus would like to crack the 20,000 mark in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. We shall see.

Meanwhile, communicator Mercury (still appearing to move backward in motion) makes a pleasant aspect to Venus at 2:41 pm. This marks a good time to revisit what have previously been difficult conversations. On Wednesday, Mercury moves into the sign of Sagittarius for a chance to reconsider your vision for the year.

Berkshire Hathaway's first quarter profits plummeted along with the paper value of its investments, but the company said Saturday that most of the businesses it owns outright performed well. The figures were heavily influenced by a large drop in the paper value of Berkshire’s investments. Buffett encourages investors to pay more attention to the conglomerate’s operating earnings that exclude the investment figures.

Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger Picks Up Stock Near 2024 Low
Intel stock continued a 2024 slump in late April after the chip maker provided disappointing guidance. With the shares trading at their lows for this year, CEO Pat Gelsinger bought up Intel stock on the open market. According to forms he filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gelsinger purchased the stock through a family trust that now owns 39,400 shares.
