The most over-the-top New Year’s Eve bash on the jet-set circuit was once again Roman Abramovich’s soiree in St. Barts, where guests welcomed 2017 as Sir Paul McCartney sang “Auld Lang Syne” with Jimmy Buffett.

The Beatle had climbed onstage as a surprise performer earlier in the evening during a set by the Killers held in a villa in the Gustavia section of the island.

McCartney captured the audience’s stunned response, saying from the stage, “What is going on?” before he and the band’s lead singer, Brandon Flowers, performed The Beatles’ 1968 hit, “Helter Skelter.” The rock ’n’ roll icon was also spotted dancing up a storm with his wife, Nancy Shevell, on the villa’s terrace overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

The Russian billionaire’s other guests included model Karlie Kloss, Stella McCartney, actress Carey Lowell, Calvin Klein, Jann Wenner, photographer Johnny Pigozzi, and John McEnroe and his wife, Patty Smyth.

Elsewhere on the exclusive island, John Legend — in white-tie attire and sitting at a grand piano — performed for well-heeled revelers at Nikki Beach St. Barts. The crooner — who became a father in 2016 — was later seen celebrating at the club with wife Chrissy Teigen.

Back in the US, Angelina Jolie took to the Colorado ski town of Crested Butte with her kids — but without their father, Brad Pitt. The soon-to-be-divorced actress reportedly stayed in a $4 million home for the holiday with her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.

The gang were spotted on the slopes taking ski lessons.

Meanwhile, not far away in the tony resort of Aspen, frequent visitor Kate Hudson partied with pal Chelsea Handler and British race-car driver Lewis Hamilton. The actress posted a picture to Instagram showing herself toasting with Handler while she wore nothing but racy lingerie and snow boots.
