Five held for selling land of NRIs, forging papers

Five persons, who grabbed and sold lands of NRIs in the city using fake stamps and forged documents, were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Monday.

HYDERABAD: Five persons, who grabbed and sold lands of NRIs in the city using fake stamps and forged documents, were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Monday.

The accused particularly targetted lands of NRIs who had not visited the state recently. The accused are G Narsimhulu, Suresh Kumar, A Sridhar, N Yadaiah, and U Harikrishna Goud. Rachakonda joint commissioner TV Shashidhar said accused Narsimhulu met the other accused on business purpose.

They had information about vacant plots. With the help of Suresh, a document writer, they created fake documents. Police seized 655 fake rubber stamps, three fake land documents, `1.1 lakh and other stationery used prepare fake documents.
