Aid sought to save freedom fighter's eyesight
Both of the eyes of freedom fighter Abu Bakkar Siddik, 67, of Adamdighi upazila in Bogra are getting damaged following a workplace accident eight years ago.
Sparks hit his eyes at a workshop while he was welding metals, family sources said.
Doctors at Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital suggested Abu Bakkar, a father of two daughters and four sons, taking better treatment in Dhaka; otherwise he might lose eyesight completely.
As the family alone cannot afford the treatment, they sought financial help from the affluent as well as the prime minister.
Aid can be sent to Abu Bakkar Siddik, A/C No-100084904, Sonali Bank Ltd, Adamdighi Branch, Bogra.
