4,444 duped by lucky draw scheme, 7 booked

SURAT: Seven persons were booked by Hazira police on Wednesday for allegedly duping 4,444 people of Rs 39.99 lakh through a lucky draw scheme. The accused have disappeared after collecting the money from the participating individuals.
Those booked include Raghag Sangadiya, a transporter in Hazira; his son Kishan; Gagji Algotar, a labour living in Amroli; Ketan Maharaj and Lakshman Boliya, both drivers from Varachha; Rajesh Kachhad, a diamond polisher from Kapodara and Dinesh Shiyal, a businessman from Kapodara.The accused were booked for cheating and criminal conspiracy.
