Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD-A) senior leader Kashi Singh Airy organised a ‘garjna’ rally in Didiihat Assembly segment today. He appealed to the voters in the constituency to vote for UKD in the upcoming elections as, according to him, the UKD is the only party that can deliver in the favour of state’s villages.

“In the name of governance, both the mainstream parties, Congress and the BJP, have looted the state for the past 16 years. It is only the UKD which can stabilise migration from villages by beginning developmental works from villages towards towns,” Airi said.

The party began the rally with a procession in the town that was attended by residents of the surrounding villages who later gathered in a ground and heard the leaders.

“The state was formed for the uplift of villages and making them a key to development but the mainstream parties have consecutively deceived the unemployed youth of the state in the past 16 years and made them flee the villages,” Airy alleged.

He attacked the BJP Government at the Centre and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made the nation line up for its own money. Modi had expressed no sympathy to the martyrs who were laying their lives for the sake of the country. “Both the parties have no time to express sympathy to the families of martyrs who are laying their lives for the country at the border,” the UKD leader said.

The party remembered the leaders who are no more and specially condoled the death of Jodh Singh Bora, Ghanshyam Joshi and Ganesh Lal Shah.

“These were the pillars on which the party rested in Didiihat,” Airy added.
