Barely two days after Pakistan released 220 fishermen as goodwill gesture, the country's marine security agency (PMSA) abducted 36 fishermen with their six boats from the international maritime boundary line off the Jakhau coast on Wednesday.

RAJKOT: Barely two days after Pakistan released 220 fishermen as goodwill gesture, the country's marine security agency (PMSA) abducted 36 fishermen with their six boats from the international maritime boundary line off the Jakhau coast on Wednesday.
Manish Lodhari, secretary of National Fish workers Forum (NFF), said the number of abducted fishermen and their boats may increase as the final figure is still awaited.
“Of the six boats, three were from Okha and three from Porbandar. The fishermen are from the Union territory of Diu and coastal villages of south Gujarat,“ Lodhari told TOI.
Meanwhile, the 220 fishermen released from Karachi on December 25, are expected to arrive on Thursday.
