The Board of Directors of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation today regularised the services of its 21 employees and delegated more financial powers to field functionaries.

Presiding over a meeting, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh directed the corporation to improve hot springs at Tatta Pani and explore possibility to establish tourist complex in this area. He also stressed upon strengthening the marketing activities of the corporation.

He appreciated the efforts of the corporation for earning net profit of Rs 4.66 crore during the current financial year up to November 2016 and approved to purchase two new Volvo buses to strengthen the existing fleet of transport wing of the corporation.

The Chief Minister also launched the new website, www.hptdc.in of the corporation which provides a user-friendly interface to its customers with modern features to promote tourism.

It was decided to offer suitable packages to the guests as per their requirements. Customers will be able to submit online feedback/reviews of their experiences in Himachal Pradesh that will be published on the homepage of the website along with their name and photograph. The website also provides online interface to customers to participate in the photography contest. The HPTDC ‘Privilege Card Scheme’ has also been uploaded on the website, which offer links for online hotel and bus bookings, too.
