Cyberabad CP detains three under PD Act

In the ongoing drive against offenders in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, the Commissioner has detained two notorious robbers and one rowdy-sheeter under Preventive Detection Act.

The detained offenders are: Modugula Santhosh Kumar, 35, Auto Driver residing at Jillellaguda gram panchayat office under Saroornagar Mandal and native of Balkuni Sanpur Tq. Aurangabad, Bidar District, Karnataka State. He was involved in seven robbery, snatching and automobile theft cases under limits of Cyberabad, Rachakonda and Hyderabad police Commissionerates.

 

Putta Kurmaiah alias Chotu, 20, Auto Driver, residing near Balapur community hall, native of  Pedda Kothapally (V&M), Mahboobnagar Dist. He was involved in seven robbery, snatching and Automobile theft cases.

Mohammed Raheem, 37, residing at Borabanda. He was involved in six bodily offences and rioting  cases in the limits of Cyberabad,  Hyderabad Commissionerates and Zaheerabad of Sangareddy  district.

The three were arrested previously also and are habitual offenders. Their criminal acts have been prejudicial to the maintenance of public order. Unless they are kept out of the society for some time by lodging them in prison under PD Act, public order cannot be restored, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Sandeep Shandilya, IPS, has said. (NSS)
