State Youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh today said the BJP chargesheet was nothing more than political gimmickry as the baseless contents of the BJP charge-sheet only proved beyond doubt that they were merely performing a ritual.

In a statement issued here today, Vikramaditya said the allegations in the chargesheet were not based on facts and the BJP was desperate to grab power by any means. “The chargesheet submitted by the BJP is totally baseless and I feel there is no need to even react or refute the allegations,” he remarked.

He said if the BJP had concrete evidence of the allegations contained in the chargesheet, they should have raised it beforehand rather than perform a ritual on the day when the Congress was holding function to celebrate the four years of completion in the state. “The people of the state will give a befitting reply to the BJP for the petty politics it is  indulging in. The BJP is trying to divert the attention of the public,” he said.

He said the BJP had read the writing on the wall that the Congress would re-capture power in the state in the 2017 Assembly elections.
