Lok Insaaf Party announces 4 tickets for assembly elections
LUDHIANA: The Lok Insaaf Party (LIP), led by Independent MLAs Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Singh Bains, has announced a list of four candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.
As speculated, the Bains brothers are retaining their seats. The elder one, Balwinder Bains, will contest elections from his constituency Ludhiana South, while his younger brother Simarjit Singh Bains will fight elections from Atam Nagar.

While councillor Randhir Singh Sibia has been fielded from Ludhiana North, but surprisingly the decision to announce the candidate for Ludhiana Central seat has been deferred by LIP as of now without citing any clear reasons.
Along with announcing these three seats of Ludhiana, the party has also announced its candidate for Amargarh seat which falls under Sangrur assembly and Prof Jawant Singh Gajjanmajra has been allotted from there. As per the seat sharing arrangement with its coalition partner, the Aam Admi Party (AAP), LIP will contest elections on 4 seats in Ludhiana and one in Sangrur.
