Raftaar's song Aadat to lay before Passengers

Raftaar is going places. The popular Indian rap artist has been approached by a studio to croon a number for the Hollywood film Passengers. The space-adventure slash romantic-drama features Jennifer Lawrence, popular in India for playing Mystique in the X-Men franchise, and Chris Pratt, known for Jurassic World, in the lead roles. Now don't think that Hollywood is going the Bollywood way and will insert a romantic number right in middle of a romantic scene. But the song by Raftaar will be a promotional one, and will be attached to the prints of the film in India. The song has been titled Aadat, and will play before the Passengers begins. Raftaar shared the news on his Instagram and wrote "HELLO HOLLYWOOD. Shooting a song for The upcoming hollywood movie "PASSENGER" today in mumbai. Video will play in all theatres before the movie. One step closer. (sic)" So as you read this, your favourite Raftaar is recording a song for a Hollywood film. We are really happy for Raftaar. Earlier many stars have crooned promotional tracks for Hollywood films releasing in India. Rehnuma and Ye Ant Ki Shuruat have been composed by Indian singers like Shaan for Chronicles of Narnia. Passengers is one of the most anticipated movies of 2016. It is even being touted as the Titanic set in space by fans. The studio is bringing together the power of Chris and Jen who are two internet favourite celebs. They play Jim and Aurora, who on a routine journey through space to a new home, are awakened from their suspended animation 90 years too early and face living the rest of their lives on board their malfunctioning ship alone. That sounds like the plot of Gravity meets Titanic!

Pratt says he was impressed by the talent working together for the film. "I am a huge fan of talent and when I see the sets that people on this crew have built, you can't help but be in awe. There's a lot of really talented artists working on this movie, literally hundreds and hundreds of people so far and that's not even counting the post production process which in itself could be another beast. I will forever be impressed by the magnitude of this type of a movie and this type of a set," he said in a statement.
