CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and
Haryana high court on Friday dismissed a peti tion filed by Phool Chand
Mullana, former president of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, against the scrapping of the state commission for the scheduled castes by the Manohar Lal Khattat-led BJP government.
Mullana was appointed as head of the commission by former CM
Bhupinder Singh Hooda just before the
Election Commission had announced the date for Haryana assembly elections.
Soon after, the model code of conduct had come into force. Apart from him, three other members were also appointed in the commission.
