KARACHI: The police have charge-sheeted two suspected terrorists on Thursday in two more cases pertaining to the murder of two army soldiers and a police officer. Muhammad Asim alias Capri and Ishaq alias Bobby said to be associated with the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s Naeem Bukhari Group have been behind bars since Nov 7 for their involvement in around 25 cases pertaining to the killing of famed qawwal Amjad Sabri, army and Rangers personnel, seven cops, two traffic constables, and three civilians, including two doctors on the sectarian grounds. The investigators filed the charge-sheets against the suspects before the administrative judge of anti-terrorism courts. While accepting the charge-sheets, the judge sent the cases to relevant ATCs for trying the suspects. The suspects had disclosed during interrogations that they had gunned down two Army soldiers Lance Naik Abdul Razzaq and Sepoy Khadim Hussain near parking plaza in Saddar in last July to avenge the arrests and killing of dozens of activist of banned LJ; said the first charge-sheet. “Capri and Bobby have recorded their confessional statements before a judicial magistrate and two eyewitnesses also rightly picked them out during an identification parade. Moreover, the ballistic report established that the weapon recovered from their possession was used in the crime.” Another challan said that Ishaq along with his absconding accomplices Zaheer, Irfan alias Rana and Kamran Jamshed Bhatti allegedly have killed the then station house officer Preedy Eijaz Ali Khawaja on the main Korangi Road in the Defence Housing Authority in April last year. “An eyewitness had recognized the suspect during an identification parade.”
