Keeping alive the spirit of Christmas, student volunteers of the Manav Uthhan Manch have started giving away clothes, winter wear and blankets to the needy.

NASHIK: Keeping alive the spirit of Christmas, student volunteers of the Manav Uthhan Manch have started giving away clothes, winter wear and blankets to the needy.
Instead of indulging in extravagant festivities this year, the students have chosen to help the needy and the poor, They are also appealing to citizens to follow suit.
“There is nip in the air and homeless are the worst affected due to the ongoing chill.
People wishing to donate old clothes in good condition can make donations by Saturday afternoon near Indira Nagar police station, Nandan Sweets College Road, Mahavir Nagri opposite Panchavati Police Station, Divya Adlabs nearTrimurti Chowk and Nashik Road Gurudwara,” the students said.
Jay Krishnan, one of the student volunteers, said, “We are distributing blankets to the homeless and the needy. We will start the campaign from Civil Hospital at 7pm on Saturday.”
