Liquor den busted in Meghaninagar

AHMEDABAD: A police team of city crime branch raided Patrawali Chali and seized 93 crates of IMFL containing 1,946 bottles of liquor worth Rs 3.35 lakh on Tuesday.
The stock belonged to Dashrath Marwadi, Hitesh Marwadi and Ishwar Thakor, said the police. All the three managed to flee the spot.
“The location was tricky and police seldom venture in the chawls due to its maze-like layout, and the fierce resistance of residents which bootleggers time to dispose of their stock.The godowns were not traditional as it was very small and constructed in lanes between shanties,” said ACP CN Rajput.
