Eviction of footpath vendors condemned, alternate place demanded

Hyderabad: MIM MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri alleged police excesses on poor people carrying out trade on footpath and told that traffic police citing court orders is harassing and bothering traders doing business on footpaths for 30 to 40 years. He said, MIM is not in favour of footpath encroachment but the business was being carried out with the cooperation of police and traffic police.

Raising the problems faced by footpath, vendors during zero hour in the assembly, MIM MLA demanded that the government convene a meeting of assembly members of the city to address the issue. He said MIM is ready to cooperate if the alternate space is provided to the vendors.
