LAYYAH-Four persons were killed and 16 others sustained injuries when two passenger buses collided here on Multan-Mianwali Road near Fatehpur on Tuesday.
The police and Rescue 1122 said that six of the injured are in critical condition. The accident occurred when two passenger buses - one of the way from Lahore to Karor Lal Essan and another Rawalpindi-bound, coming from Karachi, collided head-on due to speeding. Rescue team rushed to the spot and shifted the inured and dead bodies to different hospitals. The deceased were identified as Mazharul Haq, Muhammad Sadiq from Mianwali, bus driver Ali Imran of Sheikhupura and bus conductor Iftikhar Khan belonged to Baghban Pura Lahore. The injured were brought to Layyah DHQ Hospital, Bhakkar DHQ Hospital and THQ Hospital Fatehpur. Six critically injured were referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan.
