Rajarhat molest accused held

KOLKATA: The main accused in the Rajarhat kidnapping and molestation case was arrested hours after the survivor approached po lice seeking justice. The accu sed -an app cab driver -has been identified as Md Fahim alias Rocky . He was picked up early on Monday mor ning from Israelpara of Narainpur locality after extensive raids in Rajarhat-New Town area. The car used to commit the crime too has been seized.He is being questioned extensively to trace the whereabouts of his accomplice who was involved with the crime.
“We have slapped IPC sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 341 (wrongful restraints) and section 12 of the Pocso Act,“ said an investigating officer, adding the accused was produced in the Barasat court. The case was shifted to the court of the 2nd ADJ as per the orders of the CJM.
